FCEA will co-host a workshop on climate geoengineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in conjunction with the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin and Arizona State University’s School for the Future of Innovation in Society. The workshop will be preceded by a public event on the evening of September 13, including a keynote address by FCEA’s Simon Nicholson. FCEA’s Wil Burns will serve as one of the coordinators of the workshop and will frame the current status of geoengineering at the outset of the meeting. It is contemplated that a second workshop will be held at Arizona State University in the spring that will focus on the role of public deliberation in assessment of climate geoengineering options
