Kat Diersen

Graduate Research Assistant, Fall 2014 - Spring 2015

Kat is a graduate student and research assistant in the Global Environmental Politics program at American University. Prior to that she spent several years working as a habitat conservation planner for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, where she worked with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve positive conservation outcomes for Florida’s rich and unique wildlife and natural resources, in balance with the needs of its residence and visitors.  She is a fellow of the Florida Natural Resources Leadership Institute, with extensive training in natural resource conflict resolution. Her research interests include biodiversity policy and climate change adaptation planning for wildlife.
